Sponsor Spotlight: Elephant in my Handbag

Monday, November 03, 2014

I am delighted to be able to talk a little bit about Elephant in my Handbag today - the new sponsors for my blog!

Elephant in my Handbag is a lovely online fabric and notions shop based in the UK that stocks a HUGE selection of really lovely craft, quilting and dressmaking fabrics and lots of gorgeous ribbons, zips, binding as well as 'other scrummy whatnots'.

I've picked some of my favourites to showcase in this post, but this is just the tip of the iceberg!

In their own words:
Elephant in my Handbag is a family owned craft and fabric business based in Hawkhurst in Kent in the south east of the United Kingdom.

Our mission is to find interesting and exciting things for our customers to use to create unique projects.

We have sold to countries all around the world from Chile to France, Russia to Australia.

Finally, we know you want to ask…why the name?!

Well, when the kids can’t think of a word we always go… “Elephant? Gazelle? Giraffe?”, so elephants hold a special place in our hearts. No idea why it is in a handbag, though.
Love that - it is such a quirky name!

Oh, but the best thing is that they are offering all my readers 10% off their first order! Just enter the code 'Salt' when you are checking out and your discount will be applied.

My apologies in advance if you now lose a couple of hours of your day from browsing through their fabrics - they have some seriously lovely things on their website. And I have a rather fun tutorial coming up later this month using a couple of their fabrics, which I'm really looking forward to sharing with you all (warning: it may put you in the mood for Christmas, ooo, and baking!)

  1. Oh, the temptation! Especially since I am considering doing the very thing I said I wouldn't do again - making another quilt! Thank you for the discount!

    1. Oooo - you should definitely make another quilt, your last one was gorgeous! I'm still slowly making my quilt, but I've not touched it for ages and my friend is due at the end of Dec, so I think I had better get back to it, eek!
